For one week from 28th May to the 3rd June The Petrovkastudio is running a programmeof events and masterclassesfor anyone to join and experience.We will start this week programmewith the opening of a group show of contemporary artists on Saturday 28th May. This is very informal and open to anyone who might be interested in what we do here (see details below).•Igor Avramenko–exuberant and colorful works •AndreyAndreev -brilliant figurative painter from St. Petersburg•Marina Opoitseva-graphic artist and printmaker•JunonaBalash-drawings and paintings•SemyonAgroskin-acclaimed Russian painter•Katya Agroskina-experimental photomontage•Lev Dyakonitsin-Russian artists whose work is in the Tretyakovmuseum•DavinaGarrido-showcasing her new 100 sketch works project•Olga Khan -sculptor and ceramicist•Sarah Watterson -American abstract painter•John Harrison -industrial and city landscapes•Anastasia Rudenko-talented photo journalist.We will also have a students wall and show the fantastic work that the students have created over the last year and if you wish to subscribe to next years classes please come and look at their work and see for yourself how much fun everyone has had studying here. The programmefor the art week is as follows:
•Saturday 28th 11am-9pm opening group show. Drinks and snacks served.
•Sunday 29th 2pm-3.30pm children's art and storytelling class with DavinaGarrido–800rbls per child (please book in advance as these are popular classes and fill up quickly).
•Monday -studio closed to general public(Please call for anappointment).
•Tuesday 10am-4pm (1 hr lunchbreak) abstract masterclasswith Sarah Watterson. Maximum 7 people 3000 rblsfor the day.
•Wednesday 10am-4pm abstract workshop with Sarah Watterson. 3000rbls.
•Thursday -open studio -just turn up (closed from 1pm-2pm).
•Friday 10.30-1pm life drawing masterclasswith DavinaGarridousing a female model. Beginners welcome!!!
•Friday evening 6.30-9pm experimental life drawing. This is particularly suitable for students of art studying at school.
•Saturday -exhibition closes but certain works will remain on display in the Red Room.
